Katherine "Katie" Christy Robb
Katie was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Along with her mother, Katie has an older brother and a younger sister. She has attended and been active in her home church of Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church where she as served as an elder, a member of the Communications Committee, and was a Youth Program Adviser for the past five years. Furthermore , Katie served as a member of the Hispanic Advisory Committee of the Presbytery of Denver.
She attended Dartmouth College, in Hanover, New Hampshire and received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography in 1999. After working several years in commercial real estate in Chicago, Katie felt a strong call to ministry. She received a Masters of Divinity, with honors from Iliff School of Theology, located in Denver in 2006.
Katie has served in the following capacities:
- Student Pastor of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Denver, Colorado.
- Pastor Intern for Small Group Formation at Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church.
- On-Call Chaplain, Porter Adventist Hospital, Denver, Colorado
- Interim Youth Director for Church of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Evergreen, Colorado.
Her support of mission work is evident in her leading or participating in over 15 mission trips. She lead three hightly successful Convivir Mission Trips to IPODERAC Orphanage in Atlixco, Mexico.
She is an accomplished skier and has run multiple half-marathons. Her puppy Ina, an Australian Shepherd mix, is a close match for her energy level.
Katie has felt God's tug on her heart to share her love of the Gospel with youth and young adults. Her engaging personality is an outward display of her inward love of Christ. Her visit with Lakewood was filled with constant laughter, easy conversation, and thoughtful discussion. God loves to surprise us. Lakewood was led to someone they could fall in live with immediately and who could become a member of our church family. Florida was never in Katie's sights, but as we know, God often has other plans.

My generation says "God, yes, Church, no" They are spiritually hungry, but institutionally suspicious. I want my generation to know what I love about the Gospel. We have exciting work to do engaging my generation.
God is big enough to love us all.Our challenge is to resist the polarizing "us versus them" tendencies of our culture and live with Presbyterian gusto in "fruitful tension." My ministry will allow questions and revel in the beauty of diversity.

Conformity damages our identity in Jesus Christ. We must strive to be in this world, but not of this world. But, even the church is of this world in many ways. It's a real battle.
Jesus' call to serve the poor among us faces the church in all times at home and abroad. We are challenged not only to serve with giving and charity, but also to learn about the systems supporting poverty, oppression and disease and to search for ways to change them.
