03. Pastoral Confidentiality & Prayer Requests
Pastoral conversations with ordained clergy and trained care ministers are treated as confidential within the limits of applicable law, denominational requirements, and safety obligations.
When submitting prayer requests through our website, connect cards, or church office, you may designate whether your request is:
- Pastors Only: Kept strictly confidential among ordained pastors.
- Intercessory Prayer Chain: Shared with our trusted prayer ministry team for daily intercession.
- Public Worship: Included by first name in the Sunday morning prayers of the people and bulletin prayer list.
04. Realm Member Directory & Privacy Controls
Our congregation utilizes Realm(by ACS Technologies), a secure cloud-based church management system. Members with login credentials may access the digital church directory to stay in touch with fellow church members.
Realm provides privacy settings for individual and household directory information. Available choices may control whether a phone number, email address, mailing address, or photo is visible to staff, leaders, or other authenticated members.
05. Children & Youth Safety (Safe Sanctuaries)
The spiritual safety and physical protection of minors is among our highest priorities. In accordance with LPC Child & Youth Protection Policies:
- We do not knowingly collect personal contact information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent.
- Registration for children and youth events (Sunday School, VBS, youth retreats) must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
- We never publish the full names or identifiable home contact details of minors alongside photos on public websites or social media channels.
06. Photography, Video & Worship Livestreaming Notice
As part of our mission to welcome people everywhere into Christian worship, Sunday morning worship services in the Sanctuary are livestreamed to YouTube and archived for viewing.
Camera angles primarily focus on the chancel, pulpit, choir, and lectern. However, worshippers seated in forward rows or participating in children's messages, communion, or baptisms may be captured in video broadcasts.
Camera-Avoidance Request: If you or your family prefer not to appear on camera, please speak with an usher or contact the church office before worship so we can discuss available seating options.
07. Financial & Giving Security
Electronic giving and payments are processed through third-party financial services, including services made available through Realm. Those providers maintain their own security, privacy, and payment-card compliance practices. Lakewood does not collect payment card numbers through the public pages of this website.
08. Communications & Email Subscriptions
We distribute periodic church newsletters, pastoral letters, prayer updates, and ministry announcements via email. You may opt out or modify your subscription preferences at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of an applicable email or by contacting the church office at info@lpcjax.org .
09. Website Analytics, Cookies & Embedded Services
Our website platform and analytics tools may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages visited.
