Sermon text: Job 19: 23-27 & 1 Corinthians 15: 12-22

They are playing Christmas music exclusively throughout the Holiday season. As you know, I love Christmas and especially the music of Christmas, but here’s my confession: Every time “The Little Drummer Boy” comes on (and they play it often) I switch the station to something else. I can’t stand that song (sorry David, and any other drummers in the sanctuary this morning). “Schmaltz” ... that’s the word I would use to describe it. I’ll take Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey over The Little Drummer Boy anytime! To those of you who like the song, I won’t hold it against you ... after all, it is Christmas. And in fact, it’s the fourth Sunday of Advent ... can you believe it? ... Read full sermon here (PDF).
