“I tell you, Peter, the cock will not crow this day, until you have denied three times that you know me.” (Luke 22:34) We are all familiar with these words Jesus spoke to Peter in those last hours they had together. But just before Jesus says this, these words are spoken: “Simon, Simon, Satan demanded to have you that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail you.
