Sermon text: Matthew 4:12-23

Fishing’s Not For Me … at least in one sense. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I like to fish … you all pretty much know that. But I have a confession to make: I’ve never particularly cared for this verse: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” No, it’s not the male chauvinism that bothers me. There’s not a politically correct way to translate the Greek word, “anthropon” … “men” is the only way to do it.
