Life Together

Fellowship

LPC offers fellowship opportunities for people of all ages.

Program Ministry
Wednesday night at LPC is the place to be for food, fellowship and fun – and an opportunity to learn more about God’s Word. The program runs from late August through the end of May, with special events occasionally planned over the summer months and throughout the year like Spring Fling (church picnic), LPC night at a Suns game and Halloween Trunk or Treat. Wednesday dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. in Benz Hall. Reservations must be made on the attendance pad in the church pew or by calling the church office by Monday of each week.

Congregational care
Lakewood Presbyterian Church is known for being a loving family of God. The Congregational Care ministry is composed of an army of women and men who show love for their LPC family by volunteering to serve and meet the needs of our members – meal deliveries to new families; hospitality receptions and meal deliveries following deaths and funerals; DOVES (shut-ins); valentine care packages for college students; communion for shut-ins.

PEPS – Progressive Enthusiastic Presbyterian Seniors
For age 55+, this group meets the third Thursday of each month. The monthly event alternates between a program and lunch at the church one month and an activity and away lunch the next month. Some away activities have included trips to the IMAX Theater at World Golf Village, the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, a tour of the Federal Reserve and an Amelia River Cruise.

For more information, contact Kathy VanderVliet via the church office at (904) 733-8055. If you would like to join this “peppy” group of seniors, simply sign up to attend their next meeting.

Presbyterian Women

This well-organized group offers a variety of ways for women (and men!) to get involved in Bible study, fellowship and mission. Some of the many mission projects this group has been involved with include: United Christian Outreach Ministries, Thornwell Home for Children and the Kay Beckman Seminary Scholarship. These dedicated women truly live LPC’s vision statement: Thinking with Christ’s mind. Loving with Christ’s heart. Serving with Christ’s hands.

Circle meetings are held monthly from September through June. The schedule of meetings may vary, so check the LPC Herald and LPC Sunday News for meeting dates, times and locations. The usual schedule is:

Bible study circles
Three circles meet the first Tuesday of the month:  Esther and Naomi at 10:30 a.m.; Mary at 12:30 p.m.

Scrapbooking circle
Schedule varies.

Little Women
Open to young women in the 3rd through 6th grades, this group meets the first Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Circles & Squares
