At Lakewood Presbyterian Church, we are always learning and growing in our faith, just as our lives are always changing. Educational opportunities for adults include Sunday School classes, mid-week Bible study and special educational series, such as faith and film, spiritual gifts, Lenten studies and Living the Questions.

Bible Discovery Class

Bible Discovery uses the International Sunday school lesson series as the background for weekly study. For the fall quarter 2018, beginning in September, they will study "God's Word and God's People" and will examine the book of Genesis. Class begins each Sunday at 8:45 a.m. in the Coleman Room in Benz Hall
Leader: Jim Robinson.

Grace Patrol

This adult study class uses short-term curriculum that usually lasts 6-13 weeks to learn about God’s grace and purpose for us in scripture and in our lives today. We welcome all ages to join us for a look at both Old and New Testament studies with thought-provoking questions and interactive discussion.
Leaders: Karen Green and Linda Allen.

Women's Thursday Night Bible Study

Our fall Thursday Night Bible Study group will begin on September 6. The subject for this seven week study will be “Job, A Story of An Unlikely Joy” by Lisa Harper. The class is held at the home of a group member from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and dinner is served prior to each week’s lesson.  This is a wonderful time to dig deeper into God’s word and enjoy fellowship with other women. The study is not limited to LPC members, so invite a friend or neighbor.  Please contact the church office at 733-8055 to if you would be interested in joining the fall study.

Other Studies

Occasionally, LPC offers special adult studies which revolve around a theme or season in the church calendar. Past studies have included: Living the QuestionsSabbath ConnectionsMayberry Bible Study, and several Lenten and Advent discussions at our Wednesday Night Dinners.
